For those who do not know the history: Hammersmith Bridge is the first cast-iron suspension bridge to span across London’s river Thames. Being a hand-built structure from the Victorian period it has survived two world wars and even some troubles. It is in dire need of repair and we hope that Bazalgette’s masterpiece will be fully restored to its former glory soon.
